Brandon Mead is a Best of the Net nominated bathtub writer, intermittent poet, and cat dad who calls the Pacific Northwest home after living his whole Nomi Malone fantasy in Las Vegas, Nevada. His work has appeared, or is forthcoming, in publications such as Taco Bell Quarterly, Paris Lit Up, 86 Logic, T’Art, and Skeleton Flowers. As a winner of the SEAF Short Works Foundation Award, his live readings have been featured at a variety of exhibitions and festivals and he is honored to have his fiction included in anthologies by Outcast Press, Cat Eye Press, Bearskin Lodge Press, and 4 Horsemen Publications. He is a former Florida Man and has been the recipient of support from the Nevada Arts Council, the Las Vegas Writing Conference, Hugo House, and the Writers of Central Florida.

A reader for Black Mountain Institute’s literary journal Witness, he has been featured on 52 Love, Dime Grinds, Banned Books Conversations, Drinking with Authors, and has both participated and presented at the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) Conference.

As a host and facilitator for open mics in the Seattle area, he also heads the book promotion account Queer Bewks, which spotlights LGBTQIA+ stories/creators and is the founder of Wayward Pansy Press, producing the stand-out titles The Curling Workbook and The Celebrate Pride Coloring Book.

In addition to writing under his own name, Brandon publishes steamy queer-centric books under semi-secret pen names.
